Stringybark Ecological developed a Roadside Environmental Plan for the Gwydir Shire Council, based in Bingara and Warialda in northern NSW. The plan included a survey of a sample of roads in the Shire, identifying environmental assets, threats and management needs. We produced a report, a set of detailed road-by-road recommendations, a GIS layer and a set of guidelines for operational staff. We delivered a training program for managers and operational staff to explain the plan. We also developed signage for the Council to highlight significant roadside areas.
