Experimental Design for Revegetation

Large-scale revegetation programs, such as landscape or minesite restoration, requires significant investment in the establishment phase. A short experimental phase can ensure this investment pays off by testing different species or establishment methods.

Stringybark Ecological can design statistically-robust experiments to test these factors to ensure that meaningful results can be obtained. For example, a one-year trial could test whether tree guards are necessary for early survival. The results would either save significant costs or prevent significant failure in the final program. Well-designed trials can also be used as demonstrations of different techniques and can be set up as long-term experimental and demonstration sites. We can manage all aspects of trials including design, data collection, analysis, evaluation and reporting.
